First periodical meeting held on July 25-26, 2018

In spite of holiday season, summer in FunGlass keeps everybody really busy: Working hard on reports closing the 1^st reporting period, deliverables and milestones that are due within the following two months, we were preparing for a big event – Periodical meeting held with auditing reviewers and representatives of European Commission.

The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the progress of the FunGlass project during its first reporting period. Director along with project partners and FunGlass team members presented the project achievements, accomplished objectives and milestones for the period and contribution of all beneficiaries.

We all found the meeting very beneficial as it evoked a lot of interaction and discussion, during which both the external evaluators and REA representatives raised many questions and provided feedback on activities performed during the first 15 months of the project. We also had opportunity to discuss challenges related to the project implementation; clarify open questions and provide reviewers with our feedback on experience related to specifics of Horizon2020 requirements as applied in everyday life.

Presentations and vivid discussions included presentation of next steps for the 2^nd reporting period of the project. Although the official report is yet to come, we are pleased to conclude that preliminary conclusions and first reviewers’ feedback to consortium revealed satisfaction with completed, ongoing and planned activities as well as compliance with ethics requirement of the project. Overall, given the open atmosphere, genuine interest and involvement of all participants, we consider the first periodical meeting to be very valuable and beneficial for further running of the project.
