Internship of Magda Kosmal from Łukasiewicz Research Network Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials, Cracow, Poland

That´s pleasure to host at FunGlass Dr. Magda Kosmal from the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials, where she works as the Leader of the Glass Research Group. Professionally, she studies building materials, especially glass. Her scientific and research activities focus on projects concerning the characteristics of recyclable raw materials and the possibility of their processing and reuse. It performs tests determining the functional properties of products: strength, aging, acoustic.

The main goal of her research is the possibility of using waste such as cement dust, slag for glass production or ceramic glass, improving their physical and chemical properties. In addition, it will reduce energy and shorten the production time of glass products. During her stay, Magda Kosmal will mainly work with Dr. Jozef Kraxner, the head of Department of Glass Processing.

This internship aims to increase the mobility of the employees, which is to improve the level of research work and expand the scope of cooperation in new, often niche areas of activity.
