Tiziana Pastore’s Research Journey with FunGlass

Tiziana Pastore is currently a PhD student at the University of Parma, Italy, under the supervision of Dr. Giovanna Trevisi. As part of the collaboration between FunGlass, the University of Parma, and IMEM-CNR of Parma, Tiziana spent one month at the Coating Department in our center in Trenčín. During her time here, she worked under the guidance of Dr. Omid Sharifahmadian, Dr. Ashokraja Chandrasekar, and Assoc. Prof. Amirhossein Pakseresht.

Her research focuses on the development and characterization of a surface lubricating coating for glass packaging using a spray coater and a dip coater. She also carried out the following measurements at FunGlass: X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), profilometer, confocal microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, and tribology tests such as wear testing.

We are delighted to have welcomed Tiziana during her stay, and we believe that our collaboration has contributed to her scientific advancement. We eagerly anticipate further cooperation.

Tiziana expresses her gratitude:
“My time at FunGlass was very short, but I want to thank all the people who helped me make the most of the little time I had. Thank you for your availability and quick access to the equipment I needed. I am sure that what I have learned will be useful for completing my doctoral project in the best possible way. Hope to see you again!”
