New Team Members Join FunGlass Centre Thanks to GlaCerHub Project
We are pleased to announce the creation of two new positions at the FunGlass Centre through the GlaCerHub project, along with the appointment of distinguished experts to these roles.
Assoc. Prof. David Salamon, PhD has been appointed as the prestigious GlaCerHub Innovation Chair. An accomplished scientist in ceramics and advanced processing methods, and co-founder of the spin-off company TriCera, David brings extensive expertise and an international network that will be instrumental to GlaCerHub’s success. In this leadership role, he will drive disruptive innovation, mentor researchers and Business Development Officers, and foster strategic partnerships with industry. His efforts will also focus on building trust in innovation, supporting talent development, and enhancing the hub’s long-term sustainability.
Ing. Stanislav Fečko has joined the HubOffice team as a Business Development Officer. With experience as an international CQV Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry and a strong academic background from the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU in Bratislava, Stanislav will lead technology transfer initiatives and strengthen collaborations between FunGlass and industrial partners within GlaCerHub.
Additionally, a new position has been created at our partner institution, CEITEC BUT. Ing. Josef Polena joins as a Business Development Officer, bringing valuable experience in ceramics development and sales. A graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at BUT, Josef will support academia-industry collaboration and technology transfer efforts within GlaCerHub.
