Since 2017, he has been leading the team responsible for project management and administrative support of the FunGlass. Together with his colleagues, he contributed to the transformation of the Center of Excellence, which in its six years of existence managed to raise more than €35M in competitive funding for domestic (11 ongoing projects) and international (4 ongoing projects – 1xH2020, 3xHE) scientific research projects. Although the FunGlass Centre is dedicated to research in glass and ceramic-based materials, composites and coatings, Peter’s scientific background is in accounting and public finance. At the beginning of his professional career, he worked as an analyst at Citibank Slovakia (financial analysis of corporate clients, strategic studies). After entering academia, he defended his doctorate in the field of accounting, information and management at Northwestern University in Chicago, and during his ten-year stay in the USA he also worked at Rush University in Chicago and at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth (empirical research on credit contracts, corporate governance and performance budgeting in public administration).

Last but not least, he is aware of the importance of volunteering for the development of civil society, which is why he has been serving as a member of the city council in Trenčín for the third term.
