September 2020 belonged to bikers. FunGlass teams together with colleagues from the University of Trencin joined the national contest titled Bike to Work 2020.

15 members of the FunGlass Center became a part of the biggest cycling campaign in Slovakia and so supported the goals such as for example development of sustainable mobility in Trenčín region. This goal fully corresponds to the Copenhagen’s development strategy for bicycle transport which says: “The development of bicycle transport is not a goal in itself, but a highly effective mean of making urban areas better places to live.”

Overall 7 university’s teams did together 513 rides what means 3.734,88 km on bikes and 1.045,75kg of CO2 saved.

Thanks belongs to all university’s participants. The good ideas were supported and we are looking for the next year competition with ambitious plan to increase the number of attendees as well as kilometers ridden.
