Dr. Martin Blaško has started his 3-months stay as the visiting scientist in prof. Anastasia Borschevsky group at the University of Groningen.

During the visit,  his research will mainly focus on the calculations of the electron electric dipole moment (eEDM). The existence of an electron EDM would manifest itself as very small energy shifts in certain molecular states when the molecules are in an electric field. The electron EDM is a very strong probe of physics beyond the Standard Model.

The University of Groningen (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen) is a public research university in the city of Groningen in the Netherlands.  It was founded in 1614, and it is one of the most traditional and prestigious in the Netherlands. The institution has been consistently placed among the top 100 universities worldwide and top 50 in Europe, according to leading ranking tables.
