Dr. A. Pakseresht at Delft University of Technology.

Dr. Amirhossein Pakseresht, the Head of FunGlass Department of Coating Processes, as other his researcher colleagues took an opportunity to gain new experiences at andvance research institution. He decided to take two months training (1st September – 30th October, 2021) at Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Delft University of Technology, the oldest and largest technical university in the Netherlands, while the FunGlass labs are under reconstruction.

The main purpose of his research training is to learn some advanced surface analysises for detecting the chemical properties of the surface number atomic layer of the solid materials. This training is taken in cooperation with Dr. Peyman Taheri. He is currently a tenure track assistant professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Delft University of Technology working on surface and interface characterizations, electrochemistry and fabrication of devices and electrodes.

His research focus is on “electrocatalysts” for energy applications, particularly CO₂ electrochemical reduction and water splitting through electrochemical processes.
