Advancing Energy Efficiency: Dr. Omid Sharifahmadian at FORGING Workshop

Dr. Omid Sharifahmadian, researcher from the Coating department, participated at Novel Enabling Technologies for a Sustainable Future: workshop on Energy efficiencywhich was held on January 30th – 31st at Comet Retiro in Madrid, Spain. The Forging Group intends to develop unique enabling technologies for a sustainable future, as well as energy efficiency and trustworthy autonomy.

This workshop was facilitated by FORGING partners, for developing potential use-cases of sustainable and responsible emerging technologies in the energy sector such as electrochromic glass, flow batteries, lithium-ion batteries, and model predictive control. Participants, including researchers and engineers from industries and universities from the whole of Europe, collaborated in the working groups based on their expertise in energy efficiency.

There was also an excellent opportunity to exhibit the FunGlass center in Pitch presentations, which enabled attendees to network and develop new contacts. It was also a great chance to find potential collaborations regarding the energy efficiency to form a better consortium for the next European project.
