Success of Dr. E. Gonzalez Castillo

Even though the delays caused by the COVID-19 situation, one of the proposals that was submitted by Dr. Eduin Ivan Gonzalez Castillo to ALBA synchrotron (Barcelona, Spain) has been graded A+ in the last call, being granted with beam time in October 2021 for performing experiments in this large scientific infrastructure. In addition to beam time granted, extra beam shifts were allocated after a rigorous revision carried out by the Scientific Review Panel due to the proposal impact, which will substantially increase the number and quality of the experiments.

At this moment, other research institutes at the Spanish National Research Council (Spain) and the Friedrich–Alexander University Erlangen–Nürnberg (Germany) have shown their interest in collaborating in these projects leaded by Dr. Gonzalez Castillo, strengthening even more the cooperation between FUNGLASS Trencin and other worldwide-recognised research centres. This undoubtedly reflects the high status of synchrotron accorded to science and technology.
