FunGlass at JTACC+V4 2023 conferences, Balatonfüred, Hungary

On June 20-23, the 3rd Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry Conference and 9th V4 (Joint Czech-Hungarian-Polish-Slovakian) Thermoanalytical Conference was held in Balatonfüred, Hungary.

350 participants from 40 countries were registered. Program icluded 5 plenary, 20 invited, 85 oral and 135 poster contributions.

FunGlass ws presented by Dr. Branislav Hruška, Assoc.Prof. Mária Chromčíková and PhD. tudent Alena Akusevich.

Alena gave a lecture „Study of thermal behavior and sintering ability of YAG/Al2O3 glasses“ and participated with her poster „Microstructure and mechanical properties of ceramic material in system Al₂O₃-Y₂O₃ prepared by horizontal directed crystallization method“. Dr. B. Hruška and M. Chromčíková also participated in the poster session with their posters:

1. Thermal properties and thermodynamic model of lithium doped 45S5 bioglass
2. Thermodynamic model of 45S5 bioglass
3. Preparation of monophasic yag raw material by multistage process

In addition to the professional program, various social events were also organized for the participants. The Conference Dinner was held at the HangVilla event center in Veszprém, one of the cultural capitals of Europe this year. JTAC quiz, classical music concert and Hungarian folkdance show with dance teaching made the evening even more colorful.
