FunGlass participated at LVIII Congress of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass

FunGlass researchers and PhD students who are temporarily settled in Madrid for the purpose of long-term training stays at our consortium partner Institute of Ceramics and Glass of CSIC participated at LVIII Congress of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass, hold 3-6 May 2022 in Madrid.  They presented their work and research results in session led by assoc. prof. Amirhossein Pakseresht, FunGlass head of Dpt. of Coating Processes. Amir was also a keynote speaker of this session on “New and modern thermal barrier coatings (TBC´s)”. Other contributions were presented by:

• Andressa Trentin: The effect of pre-treatments in improving barrier and mechanical properties of epoxy coatings: A comparative study on steel and aluminum
• Ashok Raja: 58S sol-gel Coatings on AZ31 alloys intended for Biodegradable implants: Influence of Polyols and degradation studies
• Martin Rozman: Use of metal oxides on metal and glass substrates for optoelectronic devices
• Ajitha Haridasan Haritha: ZnO thin films prepared by sol-gel method and their photocatalytic effect
• Udhaya Kumar Aruchamy: Integrated corrosion-resistant system for All alloys (2024-T351) via polyorganosilazane/ GPTMS
• Mai Phuong-Truong presented herself with poster on “LiGdF₄ Transparent Oxyfluoride Glass-ceramics for Optical Applications”
