FunGlass representatives participated in the joint meeting of DGG-USTV in Nürenberg, Germany from 13th to 15th of May 2019

On 15th May 2019, Prof. Dusan Galusek the director of the FunGlass centre and a team of researchers including Dr. Michal Žitňan, Dr. Ivana Petríková (Dpt. Of Functional Materials), Dr. Zuzana Neščáková (Dpt. of Biomaterials), Dr. Nasima Afsharimani, Dr. Rajesh Dagupati, Dr. Milan Parchoviansky (Dpt. of Coating Processes), Dr. Arish Dasan (Dpt. of Glass Processing), participated in the 93^rd Annual Meeting of the German Society of Glass Technology in Conjunction with the Annual Meeting of French Union for Science and Glass Technology (USTV) that held in Nürenberg, Germany.

Prof. Dušan Galusek and our researchers successfully presented the recent ongoing activities at the Centre in “FunGlass session” dedicated to the introduction of the Centre together with individual topic-oriented sessions. The delivered lectures by our researchers covered wide range of topics on glass and its applications in the field of bioactive glass, optics, protective coatings and glass-ceramics. Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini chaired the FunGlass special session and other partners of the project including Prof. Alicia Durán and Prof. Lothar Wondraczek presented in the event.
