Successful minimum thesis exams
We are glad to announce that four of our PhD students successfully passed doctoral minimum exam with presentation of their dissertation project on August 23, 2022:
MSc. Ahmed Gamal Abd-Elsatar: Characterization, functionaliztion and improvent of glasses for pharma (supervised by Dr. J. Kraxner)
MSc. Abel Woldu Ourgessa: Geopolymer-like materials from engineered mixtures of inorganic waste (supervised by Dr. J. Kraxner)
MSc. Hossein Ebrahim Kandi: Novel oxysulfides for NIR mechanoluminescence and biomechanical imaging (supervised by assoc. prof. R. Klement)
MSc. Marzieh Ghadamyari: Translucent luminescent glass-ceramic materials sintered in viscous flow (supervised by Dr. M. Michálková)
Ahmed, Abel and Hossein solve doctoral topics in cooperation with FunGlass partner institutions, so they will continue their third year of study by twelve months training – Abel and Ahmed will stay in Padova at the Department of Industrial Engineering under supervision of prof. E. Bernardo and Hossein will be trained in Jena, Germany at the Otto Schott Institute of Materials Research under supervision of prof. Lothar Wondraczek.
