I completed my Master’s in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the University of Mumbai, where I conducted research on Sr-doped bioactive borosilicate glasses for improving the bioactivity and corrosion resistance of SS-316L implants. Under the guidance of Dr. Kunjal Shah, this project ignited my passion for materials science, particularly in the fields of glasses and glass ceramics.

After my Master’s, I joined Surface Modification Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a Research Assistant, where I gained hands-on experience in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coatings for diverse applications, including biomedical devices, cutting tools, and aesthetic finishes. This role deepened my understanding of coating processes and their characterization, ensuring optimal performance for each application. I also honed my skills in PVD techniques and advanced material analysis.

Subsequently, I worked as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) under the guidance of Professor Parag Bhargava. Here, I contributed to several industrial projects, including the development of glass ceramics for dental applications, Ceria nanoparticle-based CMP slurries, soil moisture sensors, aerogels, and photovoltaic silver paste for screen printing. These projects expanded my expertise in nanoparticle synthesis, coating technologies, and advanced material characterization. I further strengthened my skills in synthesis techniques such as sol-gel, co-precipitation, and PVD, as well as characterization methods like SEM, XRD, FTIR, and UV-VIS spectroscopy.

Currently, at Funglass, I am working on “Enhancing Optical Properties through Antireflective Superhydrophobic Coatings Prepared by PVD and PECVD Techniques”. This opportunity allows me to leverage my prior experience while exploring new frontiers in surface coatings and optical enhancements.
