RNDr. Zuzana Neščáková, PhD.
Scientific background: biomaterials, biology, microbiology, immunology and cell-biology;
At the Dep. of Biomaterials have been developing new biomaterials with applications in regenerative medicine of hard and soft tissue and for delivery of the drugs. One of the main approach is the understanding of interactions between proposed biomaterials and biosystem. My research involves multidisciplinary study of developing materials in the terms of biocompatibility, biodegradability, bioresorbability and bioactivity. Additionally, cell-material interactions such as cytocompatibility, antibacterial activity, osteogenic and angiogenic activity has been investigated.
