Sheeraz Khan

He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science from  Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan in 2018. His bachelor’s thesis was on cathodic protection on gas pipeline by using high silicon Iron Anode. After graduated with his bachelor’s degree, he served as a visiting lecturer in the department of metallurgical engineering at Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education.

He went to China in September 2018 to pursue his Master’s degree after receiving a scholarship from the Chinese government where He studied Master of Engineering in Materials Science at Dalian University of Technology. His primarily research focused on the Microstructure, Corrosion properties, and heat treatment of S400E Sorbite stainless steel and 12Cr13 Martensitic stainless steel.  He also worked as a research assistant at the Dalian University of Technology School of Materials Science while pursuing his master’s degree. After getting his master’s degree, he worked at Route Industries in Dalian, China, as a sales Engineer.

Currently Sheeraz Khan is a part of FunGlass team as a PhD Scholar and working on the joined project of Fun Glass and Rona Glassworks at the Department of Glass processing.

Dissertation topic: Corrosion of AZS refractory materials during production of Ba crystalline glass and design of methodology for their evaluation
