Terézia Sabadková
Terézia graduated from Masaryk University in Brno, starting her academic journey in clinical Biochemistry before moving into Biotechnological Engineering. Her Master’s thesis, “Finding Resistance Genes of Strawberries,” under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Jan Lochman enabled her to master key laboratory techniques used in working with and analysing biological materials.
Terézia worked as a researcher at the Institute of High Mountain Biology (UNIZA) in the High Tatras, where she contributed to research on alpine environmental protection. She was involved in teaching biochemistry and forensic chemistry and was in charge of the molecular ecology laboratory. Her adaptability shines through, as she also spent time teaching primary school students.
Terézia is now excited to further her research experience at FunGlass, working on the topic “ Preparation of high entropy materials with important magnetic properties.” She is member of VILA department, supervisor is Dr. Anna Prnová and co-supervisor is Dr. Zulema Vargas from dept. of Biomaterials.
