Prof. D. Galusek elected a Fellow of the European Ceramic Society
The Permanent Executive Committee of the European Ceramic Society, during its meeting of February 17th, 2021, and upon the recommendation of the Award Committee, has unanimously elected Prof. Dušan Galusek, the FunGlass director to the grade of the Fellow of the European Ceramic Society.
ECERS fellows are persons of good reputation who have been members of a national ceramic organization that is affiliated with ECERS. The elevation to the grade of Fellow is based on outstanding contributions to the ceramic arts or sciences; through broad and productive scholarship in ceramic science and technology, by conspicuous achievement in the ceramic industry or by outstanding service to the Society.
The election to Fellow will be officially recognized during the XVII ECerS Conference that will be organized, as a joint event with the ICC9 and Electroceramics XVIII conferences, in Krakow, Poland, from 10th to 14th July 2022. “The European Ceramic Society is a professional society, which has a significant positive impact on the life and scientific career of all people who work in the field of ceramics worldwide, including my own. I am deeply honoured by this distinguished award.”, said prof. D. Galusek on the occasion.
