Prof. Galusek- memeber of the International Advisory board of CeRTEV, Brazil

Prof. Dušan Galusek, Director of FunGlass, has accepted the invitation to become a member of the International Advisory Board of Center for Research Technology and Education in Vitreous Materials (CeRTEV), Brazil.

Under the scientific leadership of Prof. Edgar Zanotto, professor at the Federal University of Sao Carlos, CeRTEV initiated its operation in 2013 with generous funding by FAPESP. The group is a collaboration involving 14 faculty at two universities located in Sao Carlos – Federal University of Sao Carlos and the University of Sao Paulo.

CeRTEV brings together an interdisciplinary team that includes experts in vitreous materials as well as physicists and chemists who specialize in characterization techniques, such as nuclear magnetic resonance, Raman spectroscopy and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy. CeRTEV focuses on two ‘actions’ – research and technology to support Brazilian industries, and education and outreach.
