Strengthening Science-Industry Collaboration: Insights from Amir Pakseresht’s Internship

From April 1st to the end of June, Assoc. Prof. Amir Pakseresht, the head of the Coatings department, is undergoing an internship at Treibacher Industry AG, an Austrian company. During this period, he has the valuable opportunity to introduce the FunGlass center and his department to managers from various divisions within Treibacher Company. This endeavor aims to fortify collaboration with the industry. Looking ahead, Pakseresht has emphasized an interest not only in powder preparation, TBCs (Thermal Barrier Coatings), and coatings but also in areas such as H2 production, ceramics with eutectic structures, and the mechanical properties of ceramics at high temperatures.

Additionally, Amir Pakseresht participated in the International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition – ITSC 2024, held in Milano on April 29 – May 1, 2024. At this event, he engaged in a productive meeting with partners from our new CLiCAM project, representing the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland, the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech republic, and the Treibacher Industry AG, Austria.
