The 14the international Conference on Solid State Chemistry (SSC) 2021 is over
We, at FunGlass Centre, were really honored by the trust to organize this 14th of the series of conferences, founded by Prof. Frumar as a symposium for scientists working in the field of solid-state chemistry, chemistry and physics of novel inorganic materials. Due to unusual circumstances caused by COVID pandemic, it was held untypically in online mode – broadcasting from Trencin, Slovakia from June 14th to 17th 2021.
Although, we miss the personal, face to face debates from the pre-Covid time, we can conclude that thanks to all speakers, chairpersons, poster presenters, panelists, poster reviewers, audience, as well as thanks to organizing committee and technical support, the online version of the conference was finished with very positive feedback. The four June days were filled in with 65 lecturers’ contributions of very high scientific value about new concepts, approaches, fundamental understanding, as well as the application aspects of inorganic materials. These were followed up on an active professional discussion among 106 participants connecting from 15 countries. Furthermore, the forums where panelists shared their opinions and ideas on different scientific related topics were considered as really enriching, too. Another interesting point of the conference was the poster competition for young scientists, where scientific excellence, clarity of presentation and aesthetic appearance was awarded. We congratulate to the winners!
To the end, as there are still many topics to be discussed, we are looking forward to seeing this well-established forum for scientists from all around the world working in the field of solid-state chemistry, chemistry, and physics of novel inorganic materials on the 15th SSC organized by our Czech friends in 2023.
