“From Regions to the World” – meeting in Trenčín

As a part of the event “From Regions to the World“, Trenčín Self-Governing Region was visited by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Ingrid Brocková with her diplomacy team. They attended multiple companies, as well as the University of Alexander Dubček in Trenčín. There, Peter Hošták, the head of Central Administration Unit introduced FunGlass centre. Presentation focused on the description of the current international projects (H2020 FunGlass, Horizon Europe projects- GlaCerHub and CliCam) and also contained the call for a simplification of the recruitment process of international students. After the presentations, attendees were taken on a laboratory tour by Dr. Martin Michálek , the head of Department of Biomaterials.

Discussion was also held at the round table in Hotel Elizabeth, which was joined by the representatives of academic community (P. Hošták participated), self-governing regions and business sector. One of  the discussed topics was the development of local economics.
