It was pleasure for us to welcome Ing. Vlastimil Hotar, PhD. in FunGlass Centre.  Dr. V. Hotar acts as a Head of Department of Glass producing machines and robotics at the Faculty of Engineering, Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic).

His research activities are focused on Description and quantification of structured data from a research and an industrial practice in a form of time series, images and interface using fractal geometry, statistics and other tools (evaluation of defects, description of product quality, description of structured surfaces).

Dr. Hotar visited FunGlass Centre as part of the Erasmus project. On 9^th September, he had lecture about: „Research of principles of micro-melting of glass for 3D printing from glass and production of glass nanofibers“. During his visit, he also had meeting with Ing. M. Michalek, PhD. (Department of Biomaterials), Ing. J. Kraxner, PhD. (Department of Glass Processing) and Mgr. P. Otrubcak (Project Manager) about possible research and project cooperation.
